SOUTH TOWN MAP

South Town is composed of three distinct areas: Central City, Second South, and East Island.

At first, you'll only be able to access Central City. However, as you progress through the story, you'll unlock the remaining two areas to visit.

Explore every nook and cranny of South Town there is to find while fighting the various enemies that populate its districts.

These are the types of stages you'll encounter across the South Town map.

Icon	Name	Description
	Single Match	Indicates a fight against a single enemy.
	Survival Match	Indicates a fight against multiple enemies who appear consecutively.
	Landmark	Indicates places where things such as character comments and stage backgrounds from past games can be viewed. These icons are placed at the physical locations of each landmark.
	Mini Boss Battle	Indicates a turning point in the story featuring a major enemy. These foes are somewhat stronger than your average street thug within their territory, so engage with caution.
	Area Boss Battle	Indicates the boss for each area, who must be beaten in order to advance to the next area. Bosses are the strongest enemies you'll find in their territory, so make sure your character is trained up before taking them on.
	Final Boss Fight	Indicates the big boss of South Town. Beat them to view the ending.
	Secret Battle	Indicates battles that can only be found through careful exploration of the map. These fights are tough to win, but will grant you lots of EXP when you do.

These are the types of icons you'll find dotted across the South Town map.

	Level	Indicates the recommended level for the corresponding stage.
	Cleared	Indicates stages that have already been completed.
	New	Indicates stages that have newly appeared.
	Quest	Indicates a stage that must be cleared in order to complete a quest that will advance the story.

Level icons display different colors based on their severity.

They offer a quick, simple way to determine how close your character is to the recommended level. Use them as signposts to determine your next move.

Icon	Color	Description
	Blue	Indicates that your character is above the recommended stage level.
	White	Indicates that your character is at the recommended stage level.
	Yellow	Indicates that your character is one or two levels below the recommended stage level.
	Red	Indicates that your character is three or more levels below the recommended stage level.

The storylines for each character are advanced by completing their quests.

A mark next to a stage indicates that it's a location you need to visit in order to clear one of your current quests.

You can also check which quests you're currently undertaking in the upper-right corner of the map.

Quest Type	Icon	Description
Designated Stage		A quest that can be completed by beating a stage marked with a symbol.
Landmark Tours		A multi-part quest that can be completed by beating stages marked with a symbol. The amount required is listed in the upper right (, for example).
Landmark Tours		Places with a symbol won't count towards your progress even if you beat them.
