Creating Room Matches
Room Matches can accommodate up to 12 players.
By default, rooms contain five battle stations and one training station. Occupants can enter these stations from either Player 1's side or Player 2's.
The number of battle stations and training stations can be adjusted from the Room Match settings menu.
There are also standby seats located beneath battle stations, which serve as queues to play at their respective stations (first come, first served).
(Regardless of whether or not you're in line in a battle station's standby seats, you can spectate matches as they're being played. The only time you cannot spectate is while you're actively in a match.)
(Once you've entered the room, to claim an empty battle station or standby seat, place your cursor over it and confirm your choice.)
From the room screen, you can also communicate with other players with stickers and chat messages.

A three-on-three team battle format where each participating player picks one character to fight as.
In the event that a fighter disconnects, their fight will end immediately and the opposing team will be counted as the winner for that round.
Substitutes
With substitutes allowed, a countdown will begin when at least one human player has joined each team.
Once this countdown reaches zero, any empty seats will be assigned to players who have arrived.
Be aware that if substitutes are NOT allowed in the room, the match will not begin until all six player slots have been filled.
If substitutes are allowed, once both teams have at least one human player each and they declare that they're ready to play, the countdown will then begin.
Once this countdown reaches zero, any empty seats will be assigned to players who have arrived.
Be aware that if substitutes are NOT allowed in the room, the match will not begin until all six player slots have been filled.
Party VS Rules
Party VS follows a Team Best of 3 format.
- Team Best of 3
Players split into two teams and fight for a single round each in the order of their team position.
At the beginning of each round, players trade places. The team with the most winning players on their side wins.
If a fight ends in a draw, that draw will be upheld and the next players will be brought in to fight as normal.
- Winner Stays On
Players are split into two teams and fight in the order of their team position.
The winning player stays for the next round and fights their next opponent. The team with the most winning players on their side wins.
If a fight ends in a draw, that draw will be upheld and the next players will be brought in to fight as normal.
Extra Round
An Extra Round occurs when the first and second players of either team both lose, but the third player wins theirs. In that case, both teams will enter an Extra Round, where the victorious third player will play bonus bouts against the opposing side's first and second players.
If the third player loses either bonus bout, the match will end immediately and the opposing team will be declared the winner.
But, if the third player beats both the opposing team's first and second players, the third player's team will be declared the winner in an upset victory.
