SNK CORPORATION (Corporate HQ: Osaka City, Osaka, Japan; Representative Director and CEO: Kenji Matsubara) today announced that the popular 2D fighting game, THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIII GLOBAL MATCH (KOF XIII GM), which is currently available on PlayStation®︎4 and Nintendo Switch™, is also coming to Steam on February 20, 2025.
KOF XIII, the final chapter in the Ash Saga—and one of the series’ most acclaimed entries—is now fully equipped with rollback netcode!
KOF XIII GM: An enhanced version with overhauled online features!
With its iconic 2D sprite-based graphics (unmatched in the series), mechanics, and storylines, KOF XIII remains beloved by fans around the world to this day. KOF XIII GM enhances that experience with the addition of rollback netcode for more fun, fast-paced online matches. Plus, with new online lobbies (accommodating up to nine people), you’ll be able to interact with plenty of your fellow players and watch them duke it out (via spectator mode) on a global scale!

The currently available KOF XIII STEAM EDITION will be removed from the Steam store at 6:59 AM PST on January 23, 2025. Those who have purchased KOF XIII STEAM EDITION prior to this will still be able to download and play the game.

KOF XIII draws the curtains on the epic tale that is the ASH SAGA, following on from the events depicted in KOF 2003 and KOF XI. The story unfolds in a visual novel format and is told from the viewpoints of various characters—including the eponymous protagonist, Ash Crimson. Get ready for all the mysteries to be revealed!

Fighting is taken to a whole other level with mechanics that focus on speed and strategy (Hyper Drive Gauge, EX Special Moves, and NEO MAX Super Special Moves). Technical controls allow for more exhilarating combos.

KOF XIII GM features a new rollback netcode environment that allows users to comfortably play online against others from around the world. It also comes complete with Online Lobbies (accommodating up to nine users) and a Spectator Mode where you can sit back and watch the action unfold!
