SNK CORPORATION (Corporate HQ: Osaka City, Osaka, Japan; Representative Director and CEO: Kenji Matsubara) today rolled out a free content update for METAL SLUG ATTACK RELOADED, its popular tower defense game that released in June 2024 for Nintendo Switch^TM, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.

METAL SLUG ATTACK RELOADED—a tower defense spin on SNK’s classic run-and-gun series, Metal Slug, that blends the franchise’s iconic 2D sprites and vibrant worlds with simple controls for everyone to enjoy—today welcomes new units, gallery assets, and scenarios as part of its first update since launch. SNK has also introduced numerous quality of life improvements to leveling, progression, and other battle systems to enhance the feel of the game for all players. 20 units join the ranks, including the all-new Reika for Liberty!

A total of 20 units have been added to the roster in this free update, expanding it from the over 300 that were available at launch. Reporting for permanent duty on the MSAR front lines are the brand-new “Reika for Liberty” as well as a host of fan favorites and former timed exclusives from METAL SLUG ATTACK for mobile (including “Christmas Midori” and “Everlasting Summer Abigail”). Together with this slew of fresh faces, players will also be able to enjoy updated Everlasting Summer and Christmas campaign scenarios, avatars, quests, and high-res character portraits.
