Expanding Its Global Reach

OSAKA, JAPAN — SNK CORPORATION (Corporate HQ: Osaka City, Osaka, Japan; Representative Director and CEO: Kenji Matsubara) is proud to announce the official opening of its new development studio, SNK GAMES SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. Established in 2022, our new development studio officially opened its doors on April 16, 2024, marking a significant milestone in our expansion and commitment to developing high-quality games through enhanced cooperation between our teams in Japan and Singapore.

The opening ceremony of the studio was held at the prestigious ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove on Sentosa Island on April 16. The event was attended by a distinguished group of guests including key Singaporean government officials, executives from major industry players like Singtel (Singapore’s largest telecommunications company) and Razer Inc., and leading academics from Nanyang Technological University among other esteemed local educational institutions. These partnerships underscore the strategic importance of the new studio in SNK’s global expansion plans.

Kenji Matsubara, CEO of SNK GAMES SINGAPORE, addressed the assembly, highlighting the studio’s commitment to innovating within the gaming sector and enhancing collaboration across borders. Hong Sing Tang, the head of the Singapore studio, shared insights into the studio’s strategic vision and operational goals.

The ceremony featured a traditional ribbon-cutting event followed by panel discussions with industry leaders. These discussions explored future challenges and opportunities in the gaming industry, emphasizing the collaborative efforts between SNK and its global partners.
