[About the NEOGEO]
Back in 1990, SNK launched two video game systems nearly simultaneously—The NEOGEO Multi-Video System (MVS) and the NEOGEO Advanced Entertainment System (AES). The NEOGEO MVS was a unique arcade system that allowed multiple NEOGEO cartridges to be inserted and played with just one cabinet. The NEOGEO AES on the other hand was a home console that delivered owners the exact same arcade-experience the MVS offered except right in the comfort of their living rooms!
In 1994, SNK would release a game that was the culmination of many famous SNK titles coming together to fight in a series known as—THE KING OF FIGHTERS. That same year, SNK released a CD console called NEOGEO CD. 1998 saw the birth of the NEOGEO POCKET, a handheld console which also received a Good Design Award that same year. Its updated sister the NEOGEO POCKET COLOR was released in 1999, and as you can guess, featured colored sprites. Though software for the NEOGEO AES discontinued in 2004, in 2018, SNK celebrated its 40^th anniversary by releasing the NEOGEO mini—a pocket-sized mini console which allowed fans to enjoy classic NEOGEO titles on their modern TVs and even on-the-go. Even today, the NEOGEO brand is adored by many fans all across the globe.
