The King of Fighters—an international combat competition of the highest caliber.
It was on this stage that Rugal faced defeat, Orochi was sealed away, and the mighty NESTS was brought to ruin. The drama always lay hidden behind a thick veil, out of the public eye.
And yet, with all its checkered history, KOF is eventually approved for another year.
Despite this year's mysterious organizer generating yet another wave of wild theories, veteran fighters come in droves to participate. The star-studded roster causes media outlets everywhere to shift coverage to the upcoming spectacle. At the center of the media storm is the new Multi-Shift rule, allowing competitors to freely tag in or out during battle.
Gato, Tizoc, Duo Lon, Shen Woo, Ash Crimson—all the buzz around this year's KOF has brought recognition to these names in all corners of the globe. Are they capable of stealing the spotlight and shaking up the tournament? The public awaits the answer with bated breath.
With times and locations now officially in place, spectators flock to see the initial bouts. Venues are set up in city centers in the spirit of true street fights, and the matches are broadcast live on giant screens. In cities across the world, stadiums capable of holding tens of thousands of people are set to be packed during the tournament.
