PATCH
Ver.2.0.1
Patch Note Release Date:
April 23, 2026
A major update for a major milestone: CotW's first anniversary!
Get ready for new UI, new stages, new modes, and an old legend—
Wolfgang Krauser von Stroheim, the Emperor of Darkness himself!
Highlights of Ver.2.0.1

New Playable Character: WOLFGANG KRAUSER
Wolfgang Krauser strides into Season 2 of City of the Wolves! Vanquished by Terry Bogard years ago,
the House Stroheim stalwart returns to South Town determined to reclaim what was lost in the interim:
pride, power, and everything in between. Play his Arcade and EOST Mode adventures to find out more!
Krauser rises again with his iconic moveset intact—from versatile specials like Blitz Ball and Leg Tomahawk,
to terrifying supers like Kaiser Wave and Gigantic Cyclone. Combine these with powerful techniques devised
and refined during his prolonged absence—including an extra-brutal command throw and the brand-new
Knee Halberd—and it's safe to say that Krauser is still a force to be reckoned with.
Dish out indomitable offense fit for a true emperor, and hold dominion over all who dare stand in your way!
New Stage: KAISER HALL
A strikingly German-style concert hall in Central City, designed to aid a certain emperor's siege on South Town (or so the rumors claim). Let its impressive grandeur and hellacious harmonies satiate your hunger for battle!

New Mode: WOLVES' DESTINY
A new narrative that depicts the events after Arcade Mode.
The tale this time around is "The Wolves Hunger for the Throne," where a returning emperor (Wolfgang Krauser) confronts a rising idealist (Kain R. Heinlein) in a war for South Town through the shadows.
Wolves' Destiny comes fully voiced (Japanese/English) and fully illustrated, with branching storylines and different endings based on your own dialogue choices. Brave a new tomorrow awaiting these hungry wolves!

New Wardrobe: KAIN R. HEINLEIN
We've added an alternate Kain costume to celebrate the addition of Wolves' Destiny! This bold new outfit and hairstyle reflects Kain's noble ambitions and mastery of Dark Void Arts. Don it in the arena as is, or customize it to your liking in Color Edit first—either way, enjoy the Second South visionary's ominous aura like never before!

The Return of Ring Out Battles
REAL BOUT FATAL FURY's beloved Ring Out Battle mechanic is back!
Get your nostalgia fix at Second South Central, a new stage exclusively
for this classic match type!
About Ring Out Battles
These special fights let you instantly KO opponents by knocking them off
the edge of the corresponding stage, regardless of their health.
Bust up and break whatever obstructs the stage's edges, then send your
opponent flying for the ring out—but watch out, or they'll get you first!
Rev it up for a turbulent tug-of-war rooted in Fatal Fury's storied history!

Smart Style: Now Even More Special!
The heavy version of a special move can now be used in Smart Style. This opens up fresh combo routes and neutral game plans, layering even more strategy into every encounter.
